Big-boy websites don’t use Microsoft.

And that’s a fact.

Browse through Netcraft’s May webserver survey.  Scroll down to the bottom.  Where the “million busiest websites” are.  See on the top, holding steady at over 66% market share: Apache.  Microsoft IIS down at just under 16%.   But look at the trend: since 2008 apache has remained steady at around 65%, but IIS has been steadily declining. Interestingly, nginx seems to be gaining what IIS is losing.

    Couldn’t agree with you more. I bet most web designers getting into the game dont even know what IIS is. Remember Microsoft Frontpage?
